Outside Sales Associate – Entry Level

SM Engineering is looking for an individual to fill our Outside Sales Associate position. This is a great business to business entry-level sales position with opportunities for growth and training.

The successful candidate will be energetic, professional, trustworthy and willing to travel. In this sales role you will learn about utility suppliers, industrial plant operations, as well as the dynamics of sales and marketing. SME will provide training in its proprietary software and all sales techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and coordinate with inside sales representatives
  • Promotes/sells/secures SME contracts from existing and prospective clients through a relationship based approach
  • Negotiate terms of agreements
  • Coordinates sales efforts with sales management, marketing, accounting and SME engineers
  • Uses SME CRM system and processes to track sales opportunities, activities and collect survey information

Qualifications

  • College degree (recent college graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Must have sales aptitude
  • Results/ Goal-oriented and ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite application and contact management software.
  • Willing to travel.

Compensation 
Our salary and benefits are very competitive (Salary + Commission + Benefits+ Travel Expenses). We offer 3 weeks paid vacation and 7 holidays, and 100% health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield after 90 days.

SM Engineering is seeking a professional appointment setter. This individual will be responsible for contacting decision makers at mid-large sized companies to generate appointments for our outside sales staff using SME contact management software.

  • Professional appearance and behavior
  • Able to efficiently use Microsoft Office, gmail, and contact management software.
